Guidelines

1. The Registered Physicians Caste of Gor is a group of Physicians devoted to healing.  We are a self-governing caste, answerable to no other Castes or single format.

2. The Council consists of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Chairs.

3. The Caste will be governed by the Caste Council.

4. Membership into the Caste is open to all free healers over the age of 18 (Character and mun).

5.  A Physician of this Caste who submits to a collar, or is enslaved loses all claim to the Caste. Slaves hold no caste.  If their own actions caused them to be enslaved in the first place, they have lost their honor and Caste rights.

6.  Freewomen will not be restricted by the RPCoG in their practice, but will follow the laws of their city as to whether or not they may engage their caste work fully before bearing two children

7.  Dual castes of any nature is not permitted in the RPCoG.

8.  Slaves may request recognition by the Caste and will follow the same process as the free.

9.  Slaves will not have a vote nor claim Caste, their purpose is to assist period. Their skills are recognized.  However, they receive no caste ring, no certificate and are not privy to confidential scrolls.

10.  A slave healer may not be recognized by the caste unless they have written permission from their owner.

11.  A female Physician of the RPCoG will hold herself with dignity and pride.  She will not speak or conduct herself in any way that is slavelike in manner.  She will not act in an way that will court a collar.  If she is found to be dishonorable to herself, she will be removed from the caste.  She is to always hold her standards higher then a mere slave and fight whatever "passions" she may have.  She must remain cool and in control of herself, even in the arms of her companion to avoid being truly "had".   She will not appear in public baring too much of her arms or legs, for this is slavelike and in violation of standards.  (Please see passages from the history scrolls below in conjunction of this guideline)

12.  Mentors, if necessary, must be members of the Caste of RPCoG in good standing.  They must be with the Caste for at least 2 mun months.

13. Restore/Delete characters are not permitted.  Screen names must be active to supply availability of healers as per our roster as well as service the needs of Gor. If for any reason a SN must be deleted for a time, the chairs must be notified prior to deletion.  The inability to send/receive Caste news is important, therefore, if a character’s screen name comes up with unable to send/deliver mail, that screen name will be deleted from the Roster after three consecutive unsuccessful tries.

14. Anathema is not a concept in Norman's books, the RPCoG does not practice this false code.

15. Children are very important to Goreans and abortion is not done or assisted by those in the RPCoG.  It goes against what we believe. Free women may sell their children after birth, but they would not abort a child if they were pregnant.  Only exception to this rule and by deign of the coucil, is if the mothers health is at risk.

16. Physicians are not fighters. We are required to remain unbiased and neutral in all matters.

17. Dice per RPCoG Guidelines are 2d20.

18. Homestone is not required for entrance into the caste.

19.  While AOLGor is based upon the books, not completely ruled by them, the RPCoG still adheres to the basic structure laid out within them.

20. Only the Caste Council will have the authority to remove a Physician from the Caste, unless prior removal by the Administrator/Magistrate of their HomeStone. First Chair will hold final decision on said removal.

Integrating City Wide Castes

Each City sets up their own RPCoG City Caste made up of 3 registered Physicians within the main Caste of  RPCoG.  These City Castes will be able to register their Physicians with the main Caste.

New applicants will go to their City Caste and apply for registration and acceptance with their City and the RPCoG.

Applicants will  fill out the registration requirement form for the RPCoG and submit it to their City Caste.

The City Caste will approve or disapprove the applicant.

If the City Caste approves the applicant, they would then forward their approval with the application to the Main Caste of RPCoG.

The applicant will then be added to the Registered Physicians Caste of Gor's Scrolls.

The RPCoG will then recognize and notify the applicant as accepted and send a Welcome scroll to the new member with copies to their city Caste representatives.

The member is required to place RPCoG in their life scrolls for Roster verification and adherence to guidelines.

If there is no City Caste to do this, or if a City does not have three or more registered RPCoG in good standing with the main Caste of RPCoG, then the standard application process will be followed for consideration of acceptance into the RPCoG.

Physicians are not perfect. There may be times a Physician finds himself/herself in a situation that is not appropriate behavior for a member of the RPCoG.  These types of situations may include such events as theft, murder, disrespect to a Warrior, collars, public indecency and drunken behavior. It is the consensus of the Council that these incidents should be initially brought up with the Magistrates and Leaders of the City in which the Physician is a Citizen or visitor. Should they be found guilty, then the matter should be forwarded in the form of documentation from that City’s Administrator to the First Chair of the Physicians Caste. The First Chair would then call a meeting of the Council and present the documentation and previously handed down decision. The status of the Physician in question would then be decided upon. All decisions are then final and the Physician will be told of their new status in the Caste. However, if the matter is resolved within the City’s jurisdiction and no documentation is presented to the RPCoG, then the Caste would have no decision to make, and in fact, would not even be aware of any infringement made by the Physician in question.

Regarding Free Woman

"In Ar's Station," he said, "as in Ar, robes of concealment, precisely, are not legally obligatory for free women, no more than the veil. Such things are a matter of custom. On the other hand, as you know, there are statutes prescribing certain standards of decorum for free women. For example, they may not appear naked in the streets, as may slaves. Indeed, a free woman who appears in public in violation of these standards of decorum, for example, with her arms or legs too much bared, may be made a slave."
--Renegades of Gor, 27:367-368

An unowned girl, a free woman, thus, can never experience her full sexuality. ...Passion, it is thought, deprives the free woman to some extent of her freedom and important self-control; it is frowned upon because it makes her behave, to some extent, like a degraded female slave; free women, thus, to protect their honor and dignity, their freedom and personhood, their individuality, must fight passion; the free woman must remain cool and in control of herself, even in the arms of her companion, to avoid being truly 'had,'...
---Tribesmen of Gor, 1:17

...Goreans, in their simplistic fashion, often contend, categorically, that man is naturally free and woman is naturally slave. But even for them the issues are far more complex than these simple formulations would suggest. For example, there is no higher person, nor one more respected, than the Gorean free woman. ...Goreans do believe, however, that every woman has a natural master or set of masters, with respect to whom she could not help but be a complete and passionate slave girl. These men occur in her dreams and fantasies. She lives in terror that she might meet one in real life. ...
---Hunters of Gor, 22:311

...Slave girls relish compliments. Indeed, there is a Gorean saying to the effect that any woman who relishes a compliment is in her heart a slave girl. She wants to please. Most Gorean men would not think twice about collaring a girl who responds, smiling, to compliments. It is regarded as right to enslave a natural slave. ...
---Beasts of Gor, 1:17

"...A free woman is inordinately precious. She is a thousand times, and more, above a mere slave."
--- Players of Gor, 3:92

...For example, there is no higher person, nor one more respected, than the Gorean free
woman....
--- Hunters of Gor, 22:311

If one behaves as a slut, one will be called a slut, and one will be treated as a slut. A FW who displays the attributes of a kajira will become a kajira in the eyes of the free. And as so she will be treated. What a lady does in her own parlor, in the company of her servants is, of course, her own business.
